​​A Data Architect is responsible for designing, creating, deploying, and managing an organization’s data architecture. They ensure that data assets are consistent, secure, and accessible to support business needs and objectives.

• ​​Designing and implementing data architecture solutions to support business requirements, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility across the organization. 

• Developing data modeling standards and best practices, and providing guidance to development teams on data modeling techniques and methodologies. 

• Evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools for data management, storage, and analysis to enhance the organization’s data architecture. 

• Define and develop architectural strategies and roadmaps to support business objectives and future growth.​ 

• Analyze current technology environments and recommend improvements or optimizations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and security.​ 

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and vendors, to gather requirements and align architectural solutions with business needs.​ 

• Design and document architectural blueprints, including system diagrams, design patterns, and technical specifications, to guide implementation teams.​ 

• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage within the organization.​ 

• Lead architecture governance processes, including architecture reviews, standards development, and compliance assessments, to ensure adherence to architectural principles and guidelines.​ 

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in the implementation of architectural designs and best practices.​ 

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of architectural solutions, conducting periodic reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimization.​ 

Desirable Knowledge ​​

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture or related roles with hands-on experience in data modeling, database design, and data management.
• Proficiency in data modeling tools, has a strong understanding of database technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certification in data management or database administration.
